Terms and Conditions

Cancun Best Excursions – Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern reservations made through Cancun Best Excursions (CBE), including bookings completed through the Cancun Best Excursions website or with assistance from our customer service team.

By submitting or completing a reservation, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined below, together with any additional conditions displayed for the specific excursion, transportation service, attraction, or experience purchased.

1. Prices, Taxes & Fees

Prices displayed by Cancun Best Excursions are presented as inclusive of applicable charges unless a particular activity or service clearly states otherwise.

Certain destinations, attractions, parks, marinas, archaeological sites, transportation services, or local operators may impose additional charges such as environmental fees, conservation fees, docking or marina fees, entrance taxes, government fees, or other locally required charges.

When such charges are not included in the advertised price, we will make reasonable efforts to identify them in the activity information or during the reservation process.

Banks, credit card companies, payment processors, and currency conversion providers may also impose transaction, processing, or foreign-exchange fees. These charges are outside the direct control of CBE.

2. Excursion & Activity Prices

The price of an excursion or service depends on the specific reservation selected.

Rates may change based on factors including:

  • Travel date
  • Number and ages of participants
  • Adult or child pricing
  • Private or shared service
  • Hotel or pickup location
  • Transportation requirements
  • Optional upgrades
  • Additional services
  • Seasonal demand
  • Promotional pricing
  • Local operator rates
  • Availability

The applicable price will be displayed during the booking process or communicated to the customer before the reservation is confirmed.

3. Deposits & Outstanding Balances

Selected CBE experiences may offer the option to reserve with a deposit rather than paying the entire amount in advance.

When a deposit is required, the booking is considered secured only after the required payment has been successfully received and the reservation has been accepted.

The remaining balance must be paid according to the instructions associated with that particular reservation.

Depending on the excursion, the remaining amount may be payable online, before the activity, at pickup, or directly to the operating provider.

Failure to pay an outstanding balance when required may result in the reservation being canceled.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation policies may differ between excursions because Cancun Best Excursions works with multiple attractions and independent tourism providers.

Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly identified on the activity page, booking voucher, or reservation confirmation:

Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the scheduled starting time are non-refundable.

Eligible cancellations received more than 48 hours before the activity will be handled according to the conditions attached to the applicable reservation.

Some experiences may require longer cancellation periods or may become non-refundable once confirmed. These may include:

  • Private tours
  • Private boats and catamarans
  • Customized excursions
  • Large group reservations
  • Special events
  • Holiday reservations
  • Attraction tickets
  • Archaeological tours
  • Experiences requiring advance supplier payment
  • Special transportation arrangements

When a specific activity has its own cancellation policy, that policy takes precedence over the general 48-hour policy.

5. No-Shows, Missed Pickups & Late Arrivals

Guests are responsible for following the meeting and transportation instructions provided with their reservation.

Customers should be ready at the confirmed meeting point or pickup location before the scheduled time.

A reservation may be classified as a no-show when a participant:

  • Does not appear for the excursion
  • Misses the scheduled transportation
  • Arrives too late to participate
  • Waits at an incorrect pickup location despite receiving correct instructions
  • Leaves the meeting location before transportation arrives
  • Does not follow the provided pickup instructions
  • Cannot participate because required documentation was not brought

No-shows and missed activities are generally non-refundable.

6. Weather, Safety & Operational Changes

Many Cancún and Riviera Maya experiences take place outdoors and can be affected by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Cancun Best Excursions or the operating provider.

These circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather
  • Ocean or wind conditions
  • Tropical storms or hurricanes
  • Port restrictions
  • Sargassum conditions
  • Road closures
  • Government restrictions
  • Archaeological-site restrictions
  • Mechanical problems
  • Safety concerns
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Unexpected operational requirements

Safety decisions are made by the appropriate activity operator, captain, attraction, transportation company, government authority, or other responsible party.

When necessary, an operator may modify the itinerary, delay departure, substitute part of an experience, reschedule the activity, offer an alternative, or cancel the service.

Refund eligibility will depend upon the circumstances, supplier policy, and whether any portion of the purchased service was already provided.

7. Independent Local Activity Providers

Cancun Best Excursions provides access to excursions, attractions, transportation, tours, boats, adventure activities, and other tourism experiences offered throughout Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, and other areas of Quintana Roo and the Yucatán Peninsula.

Certain services offered through the CBE platform are performed by independent local tourism providers.

These may include:

  • Excursion companies
  • Transportation companies
  • Adventure parks
  • ATV operators
  • Cenote operators
  • Zipline operators
  • Boat and catamaran companies
  • Tour guides
  • Attractions
  • Cultural and archaeological tour providers
  • Other tourism businesses

CBE may act as a reservation intermediary and may receive compensation or commission for facilitating a booking.

Where appropriate, information concerning the actual operating provider may be included with the excursion description, voucher, confirmation, or other reservation information.

8. Customer Information & Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate information when completing their reservation.

Depending upon the service, required information may include:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Telephone or WhatsApp number
  • Hotel or accommodation
  • Number of participants
  • Ages of children
  • Pickup location
  • Flight information
  • Arrival or departure details
  • Relevant mobility limitations
  • Information necessary to determine activity eligibility

Customers are responsible for reviewing their reservation confirmation and notifying CBE promptly if any important information is incorrect.

Participants must also follow reasonable instructions provided by guides, drivers, captains, park personnel, and activity operators.

A provider may refuse participation when a guest's behavior creates a safety concern or when the guest does not satisfy an activity's participation requirements.

9. Activity Requirements & Restrictions

Individual excursions may have participation restrictions.

Depending upon the activity, these may involve:

  • Minimum or maximum age
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Pregnancy
  • Physical limitations
  • Certain medical conditions
  • Swimming ability
  • Driver's license requirements
  • Ability to operate an ATV or other vehicle
  • Alcohol or substance consumption
  • Required footwear or clothing
  • Safety equipment requirements

For activities involving driving, the operator may require the participant to present a valid driver's license and satisfy minimum-age requirements.

Customers should review all available requirements before making their reservation.

If there is uncertainty about whether a participant meets an activity requirement, please contact Cancun Best Excursions before booking.

10. Best Price Guarantee

Cancun Best Excursions wants customers to receive competitive pricing for their vacation experiences.

If you locate the identical excursion online for a lower publicly advertised price, CBE may review the competing offer and determine whether it qualifies for a price match.

For consideration, the competing reservation should contain substantially identical:

  • Excursion or activity
  • Operating service
  • Travel date
  • Number of participants
  • Transportation
  • Included services
  • Duration or package
  • Booking conditions
  • Cancellation conditions

The lower price must be publicly available and currently bookable through a legitimate tourism business.

CBE may request a direct link and screenshot of the competing offer.

Private rates, membership pricing, loyalty programs, unpublished discounts, promotional codes, package discounts, pricing errors, expired promotions, and offers containing different services may be excluded.

Approval of a price match remains subject to verification by Cancun Best Excursions.

11. Coupons, Promotions & Special Offers

CBE may periodically provide discounts, promotional codes, seasonal offers, or special rates.

Promotions may:

  • Apply only to selected excursions
  • Require minimum purchases
  • Apply to specific travel dates
  • Have expiration dates
  • Have limited availability
  • Exclude certain services
  • Be restricted to new reservations
  • Be unavailable with another promotion

Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotional discounts cannot be combined.

Each promotion is subject to the conditions displayed with that particular offer.

12. Reservation Changes

We understand that vacation plans sometimes change.

Requests to modify a confirmed reservation will be reviewed based on availability and the policies of the operating provider.

Requested modifications may include:

  • Travel date
  • Activity time
  • Hotel
  • Pickup location
  • Number of guests
  • Participant information
  • Transportation
  • Activity package
  • Optional upgrades

A requested change is not confirmed until CBE or the applicable operator approves it.

Changes may result in additional charges or price differences.

13. Transportation & Pickup Information

Transportation availability varies by activity and hotel location.

Some excursions include transportation, while others may require guests to travel to a designated meeting location or purchase transportation separately.

Pickup times may be provided as approximate windows rather than exact times because transportation can be affected by:

  • Hotel access procedures
  • Multiple passenger pickups
  • Traffic
  • Road conditions
  • Weather
  • Operational changes

Customers must carefully review their pickup instructions and remain available at the designated location during the applicable pickup period.

14. Personal Belongings

Customers are responsible for protecting their personal property during excursions and transportation.

This may include:

  • Mobile phones
  • Cameras
  • Passports
  • Money
  • Jewelry
  • Bags
  • Sunglasses
  • Clothing
  • Electronic equipment

Activities involving water, ATVs, boats, cenotes, beaches, or outdoor adventures may expose personal belongings to water, mud, sand, impact, or loss.

Unless liability is otherwise required by applicable law, CBE is not responsible for personal items that are lost, damaged, stolen, or left behind during an independently operated activity or transportation service.

17. Website & Information Accuracy

Cancun Best Excursions makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information regarding excursions, pricing, schedules, inclusions, transportation, photographs, and activity descriptions.

Tourism services can change, however.

Local operators may occasionally modify schedules, vehicles, boats, menus, equipment, routes, attractions, or other operational details.

When a material change becomes known to us, we will make reasonable efforts to update the applicable information or communicate relevant changes to affected customers.

18. Updates to These Terms

Cancun Best Excursions may revise these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes involving our website, reservation procedures, payment systems, services, operating partners, or applicable business requirements.
